Join us as Brad Britton shares opportunities and considerations for business owners with charitable intentions.
As the director of planned giving, Brad works with donors and their professional advisors to create new funds and gifts, with a focus on gifts of complex assets. Brad brings a wealth of knowledge in trusts, estates, and taxes. Prior to joining the Foundation in 1997, he worked as an attorney for Day, Berry & Howard in Stamford, Connecticut, handling the preparation of estate planning documents, estate administration, and probate court litigation. He also practiced at Winthrop, Stimson, Putnam & Roberts in New York City as a tax attorney.
Brad received his bachelor’s degree in economics and juris doctorate from The Ohio State University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He received an LL.M in taxation from Capital University in 2006.
Brad is a member of the Columbus Bar Association, Charitable Gift Planners of Central Ohio, Worthington Estate Planning Council, and the Upper Arlington Rotary Club. He was the 2002–2004 chair of the Estate & Gift Tax Committee of the Columbus Bar Association.
