Does your organization offer…or want to offer…Charitable Gift Annuities (CGAs)? Has a donor ever asked you to describe how the American Council on Gift Annuities comes up with its recommended maximum gift annuity rates? If so, were you able to adequately answer their question? This session will provide you with easy-to-understand information that will enable you to answer those questions from both donors and your organization’s leadership and financial folks. In addition, we will discuss other ACGA activities that benefit the nonprofit sector. Join us to learn more from Joe Bull, Principal at Philanthropy Advisory Counsel, and ACGA’s current President. Joe is a past president of Charitable Gift Planners of Central Ohio and a frequently consulted expert in this field.

Presenter: Joseph O. Bull, J.D.
Joe Bull currently serves as Vice President and Chief Advancement at Wilmington College and is the founder and principal of Philanthropy Advisory Council, LLC. With 38 years of experience in the philanthropic arena, he has held senior advancement leadership positions at Carnegie Mellon University, The Nature Conservancy, and the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. Joe provided 16 years of service to his alma mater, The Ohio State University, primarily as Director of Planned Giving and has also held gift planning positions at Duke and North Carolina State Universities. He is currently the President of the American Council on Gift Annuities and was the 2005 Board Chair of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners. As such, he is only the second person ever to have held the top leadership position at both of charitable gift planning’s professional organizations.
